A DECO is a Decorated Friendship book.
There are commonly two types:
Sticker Decos (also commonly refered to as Sticker Slams)
Upon recieving a Sticker Deco, you get to design a page with stickers and your mailing address. Most Decos are themed.
Cut Out Decos.
Upon recieving a Cut-out Deco, you get to design a page with pictures cut-out of magazines and your mailing address. Most Decos are themed.
Sometimes you can not tell if it is a sticker or Cut-out Deco. Use your best judgement and have fun. Remember these books are messages of friendship offered - not hardships we have to complete. If you do not wish to fill out a page just pass the deco on to another penpal.
This is what the front of one of my decos looked like. This is what you put inside the front cover of the deco. It does not have to look just like mine. It just needs to state who it is for, who made it, the date it was made, what its theme is. It is also helpful to list some info on yourself and the person who you made it for. Also if you have made it for a mailgroup (Like Yahoogroups) then you need to state via what group and the swap # if it has one. This is an example of a cat deco page that you would normally find inside a deco. Just remember to have fun and turn out neat projects. No one likes to recieve a sloppy deco. |
